Overview:

Quality Services International Ltd are offering the Food Safety Professionals Association programme, Conducting Food Standards Audits, which leads to a QQI award at level 6 (Course Code 6N2161) on the National Framework of Qualifications. QQI Certificates are issued through the Food Safety Professionals Association.

Learning Objectives:

On programme completion the learner will have the ability to:

Recognise the importance of auditing a Food Safety Management/HACCP system.

Understand the role and responsibilities of the auditor in conducting an effective audit.

Understand the differences between first, second, third and fourth party audits.

Be familiar with the requirements of the BRC Technical Standard, Issue 7, ISO 22,000 Food Safety Management System and other relevant Irish standards (IS 340:2007 & IS 341:2007).

Have the competence to design an internal audit programme while understanding the importance of planning audits.

Understand the life cycle of an audit process..

Siobhán Ní Laocha – Food Safety Auditor, Consultant and Trainer.

Siobhán is a qualified Food Safety, Quality, Health & Safety auditor consultant and trainer with over 20 years experience in industry.

Siobhán has experience of developing and implementing successful management systems (ISO9000, OHSAS 18001, ISO22000 & BRC Global Food Standard) to achieve Certification with high profile companies across a range of industries from start ups to multi nationals to include food processing, food ingredients, engineering, electronics, clean room, food service and pharmaceutical.

She has completed HACCP management training and is highly knowledgeable in the area of Food Safety Legislation, she is a licensed trainer with the Environmental Health Association of Ireland (EHAI), delivers their Primary Course in Food Safety and has recently become a registered Trainer with the Food Safety Professionals Association.
